Lilia Anderson has been inventing obscure worlds for as long as she can remember. Nowadays, her creations focus primarily on small towns, stubborn women, and the magically real.
There are two sides to Lilia - a community-development oriented nonprofit employee who works with refugee jobseekers and a writer posted up in coffee shops dwelling over sentences and fixating on fictional characters. Her day job reminds her that everyone has stories to tell and everyone deserves a platform on which to tell them.
Since graduating from the University of Alabama in 2021, Lilia has been published in numerous literary magazines and online journals. In December 2022, she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
When she is not furiously typing or working with refugees, Lilia can be found doodling, walking, or tearing through novels. She lives in Denver.
